EDS Energy Manager tutorials

EDS is an energy manager equipped with PowerStudio Embedded and a built-in web server, which enables the user to query any electric variable by connecting the measurement equipment through its RS-485 bus, without having to install software in a local area network (LAN or VPN) computer.

By the RS-485 communication bus, the user can monitor any variable of the devices connected to the bus and can even display information in real time, in table or graphic format (data logger). EDS has 8 voltage-free digital inputs and 6 programmable relay outputs to make the installation control.

Installing the self-reclosing RCCB REC3

The REC3 range includes 2 or 4-pole RCCBs associated with an intelligent reclosing motor, which enables the safe reclosing of its associated RCCB. The REC3C version can signal the protection and reclosing functions with 2 status outputs.

Compact unit, installed as a RCCB. No connections are required between the motor and RCCB.

The insulation reclosing mode is used in the case of high-sensitivity protection functions, so that the unit is only reclosed when the error that tripped it is resolved.

The timed reclosing mode is adopted in the case of lower sensitivities in electrically complex installations, in order to guarantee the continuity of the electric supply. The unit has a locking system that determines the operation in the manual or automatic mode (reclosing system enabled).

Installing an OPTIM Plug&Play capacitor bank

The OPTIM series automatic capacitor banks have been designed for the automatic compensation of reactive energy in networks with fluctuating loads and power variations during seconds, by switching operations carried out by contactors.

The new design of the cabinets facilitates the installation, offering cable entry through the rear, upper and/or side of the capacitor banks (depending on the model). What's more, all the capacitor banks include the Plug&Play system, which ensures the start-up of the units in three quick, simple steps, without the need for any programming.

The CVM-C10 is a power analyzer for 96x96 mm panels with a compact energy log and four-quadrant measurement (consumption and generation).
