One of the major challenges in electrical monitoring for buildings or industrial processes is installing transformers without interrupting the service. The new TP range addresses this need: thanks to its split-core design and quick-release system, it can be installed without disconnecting the installation.
The new TP range of split-core current transformers is specially designed to simplify the work of installers in electrical systems that are already in operation, where shutting off the power supply is not an option. In addition, they feature a new, lighter and more compact design to make installation even easier.
The new TP current transformers have been designed to maximize speed and safety during installation:
Quick-release button system. This system simplifies installation by eliminating the need for metal fasteners, allowing easy installation at one end, or full removal of the front part for hassle-free setup.
Conductor holding tabs: All TP models include non-metallic tabs to hold and center the conductor, as well as cable ties that secure the cable and prevent any movement within the panel, ensuring a quick, sturdy, and safe transformer installation.
Mounting brackets for installation at the back of the panel. All models come with metal brackets for easy mounting directly on the back panel of the electrical enclosure, ensuring secure mounting both vertically and horizontally.
In the TP6 and TP8 models, it is also possible to install them directly on the DIN rail using an optional accessory. The larger models, TP10 and TP12, have a safety lock that prevents accidental opening.
Opening blocking system. The TP10 and TP12 transformers, designed for higher currents, include a safety lock that prevents opening—even when pressing the button—avoiding accidental openings.
Lightweight and compact. The new split-core current transformers have been designed with optimized weight and size to make installation easier in any electrical panel. Additionally, the smaller models, TP6 and TP8, can be mounted on a DIN rail using an accessory, greatly simplifying the installer’s work.
Sealable, both on the terminal block and on the label, ensuring traceability and preventing unauthorized tampering.
The TP range of split-core current transformers is highly versatile and universal. They are compatible with any measuring equipment on the market, such as network analyzers, power factor regulators, energy meters, active filters, variable speed drives, and other devices that require current monitoring to obtain reliable and traceable data.
Thanks to their easy installation and measurement accuracy, the new TP current transformers help provide reliable data without interfering with the operation of the installation. The ideal solution to:
