LV capacitor banks for compensation in desalination plant

With a treatment capacity of 97,200 cubic meters per day, the seawater desalination facility of Campo Dalías, in the province of Almería, is one of the largest desalination plants in Europe.

CIRCUTOR supplied three types of fixed capacitor banks of 238 and 535 kvars in order to compensate, reduce and improve the penalties of Reactive Energy in their facilities in Almería.

This has helped the Campo Dalías Desalination Plant reduce power losses in the lines, reduce costs and increase the power available in the transformers.
