Let’s consider your primary residence: a trip from an RCCB can cause the food in your fridge to spoil, faults in your home information and automation system, or the failure of irrigation or pool cleaning systems in homes. The same thing can happen in your second home, but worse, since you might not be there for days or weeks, resulting in greater damage due to the time it takes before the RCCB is reset.<\/p>\n

In restaurants or supermarkets, the problems caused by a protection trip are aggravated by the large costs associated with wasted food, not to mention the very likely financial impact due to lost revenue, as well as the cost associated with replacing the spoiled food in both businesses.<\/p>\n

Timed or insulation reclosing system<\/p>\n

Once a ground leak is detected, the device will try to directly reclose up to 3 times after a waiting period has elapsed (3, 20 and 180 seconds). It also measures the insulation, meaning it will only reclose once the fault that caused the original trip has cleared.<\/p>\n

    The REC4 features a reclosing override system by means of a mechanism on the front that is coupled to the ON\/OFF switch. The device has a locking system to control operation in manual or automatic mode (reclosing enabled). It is also sealable, to make sure that no unauthorised individuals can tamper with its operation.<\/p>\n
